Orisha Sound Releases Sultry New Single “Own Ya”

International Recording Artist Gets Your Heart Pounding with Reggae Love Song.

Once again, Orisha Sound gets your body moving with her latest dance single “Own Ya.” Coming off the success of her latest song, “World War III” a duet with the dancehall king, Beenie Man, Orisha is proving once again that she’s a versatile artist in her own right, as she shows her softer side to her fans. Drawing you in with her lustful voice and enticing lyrics, “Own Ya” is the obvious next step for the talented artist.

Captivating the audience from the very start, the heart pounding drum sounds and reggae beats quickly has you taking notice. Produced by Big Chris Flores (Rihanna, Babyface) and penned by Orisha Sound, the song displays passionate vocals throughout the club-worthy dance track, Orisha’s vocal range gleams through to the end. In traditional Orisha fashion, the sensual singer speaks to her lover as she lusts after them, yearning for their next moment together. The stunning singer croons, “feel the heat between me and you, we could start a fire”. This love song turns up the heat and starts a fire in your heart. Orisha explains to fans that, "As an artist I'm getting more and more personal. With every song I'm getting closer and closer to my listeners. ‘Own Ya’, is very emotional and personal. I feel that it carries the exact feeling I wanted to express. This song is real". By the end, Orisha Sound owns you and you love it.

Orisha Sound was destined for music and stardom from the very beginning. At the age of four, while other girls were playing with dolls, she was playing the piano, violin, and singing. Orisha was focused on her musical destiny and by the time she turned nine, the singer-musician was touring Europe and the United States. She has already shared the stage and studio with music greats like Stevie Wonder, Anthony Hamilton, Snoop Lion, and Beenie Man. Her music combines elements of reggae, pop, dancehall, hip-hop, electronic and world music. “I don't stay in one place - I move a lot - enjoying the beat of the streets and the studios of LA, Moscow, Kingston, London, Paris, NY...It’s all about the people and their love, hate, sex, faith, fun and struggle,” Orisha explains. The videos for two singles—reggae version of “Beautiful Sin” and “Make Me Moan” were premiered on MTV and getting rotation on different stations all over the world.

For the next few months, the sassy singer will be releasing a brand new single at the top of each month. So don’t miss anything Orisha Sound by visiting her website www.orishasound.com and Facebook page. Be sure to check out her new single “Own Ya” available now on iTunes.
