Dancehall group Merital FamilyThe Merital family was formed in a Garrison community called Flankers, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The group consist of four members these are, Trovoy Keneale Brackett, Duwain Samuels, Noel Mason aka (Blade) and Derrick Edwards aka (Corey). Before breaking on to the internation secene, they created a lot of dances in Montego Bay, dances such as the famous Dutty Wine made popular by Tony Matterhorn, Frog Back and Buss A Wine.
In 2010 merital shot to fame with the released of "My Money Ha Ha" a song released on the Stripclub Riddim for Adidjaheim/ NotNice/Concussion labels which also featured Vybz Kartel. The song went to number one in Jamaica, the Caribbean and USA. It was later revealed that the group was now signed to the Vybz Kartel Led Portmore Empire. Since then the group has continued to score big with hits such as Pray, When We Party and Bad Like We.
The group, however, has continued to record songs, voicing Tell Me Why for the Young Money label for Good Good Productions, and Dancing on the Type R label.
