Libran 'Dancehall and Reggae Music artiste Official Biography

Libran - The name of a new and aspiring addition is being added to the growing and impressive list of stars of Jamaican reggae music.

Libran, whose real name is Lamon Cousins, is gifted with what it takes to be among the accomplished talents of the industry.

Libran got his name from his Zodiac sign, aligning his title with the galaxy of music stars that represent the evolution of reggae.

His voice is unmistakable, uniquely powerful and a potent and identifiable transport of any tune that it carries.

Libran’s distinctive talents won him the eyes of World Flavas Entertainment and Syndicate Records to name a few, edging him closer to the point of the inevitable explosion of what Promises to be an impacting and memorable career.

His single ‘Di Way u Whine’ has already created a buzz among music fans. ‘Sexy Body,’another recent release on the Evafresh rhythm teamed him up with Chico. The song proclaims Libran’s incredible promise. Another tune, ‘Now a Days,’ produced by World Flavas Entertainment, exposes his versatility and is again keeping the young artist well in the hunt for eventual stardom.

Libran’s talent extends beyond the microphone. His skill as a writer has been embraced and quite a few artists have added their voice to his work. An extremely sensitive, emotional and God fearing person, Libran was born on October 14, 1985 to humble beginnings in St. Thomas, Jamaica. He however grew up in Waterhouse in Kingston, which helped to mold his musical direction.

But well before that, he was pleasing his peers in school, winning the Abayomi School Talent Search in 2003. He performed his way to the top ten in the finals of the Digicel Rising Star Competition, sending this time a loud and clear message across Jamaica that a new star was in the making.

Under the name of “Vetran” he was one of the key members of the musical group Jv & Vetran.

Libran is as creative as he is ambitious; always working, always striving to create new opportunities where his peers, Jamaica and the world can get the chance to join him in his musical journey. It is that type of drive that landed him roles in modeling and acting. He was one of the models that appeared on a television show alongside Winfred Williams. He also appeared in the Matrimony Medley Video alongside major Reggae Superstars Sean Paul and Lady Saw to name a few.
