Lazah Current dancehall reggae artiste

Lazah Current - Coming out of an impressive and internationally acclaimed background as one of the original members of Messenjah (1997 juno award recipient –best reggae album) as well as having shared lead vocal duties with Punjabi by nature Lazah current has recently gone solo and is now beaming on the music industry stage.

Born in Manchester Jamaica, and later immigrating to Canada lazah current is presently living in Jamaica.

He is a shining example of the best cultural traditions and innovations that come out of Canada and Jamaica. This truly “jam-adian” artist represents these identities through music in which he explores and celebrates his roots found in both countries.

At its foundation, lazah current simply spreads the idea of having an awareness of where we come from and to the choices of where we can go from here. It is this universality within lazah current’s music that which anyone can relate to.

Displaying a strong and unique sense for creating memorable melodies fashioned from his performing skills on bass and keyboards.

Lazah combines these talents with formal music training (Humber college-Toronto Canada) to craft a particular style of music in which he affectionately calls “rootiscal” in origin (ie. Having words inpsire musical creation).

During the last 2 years with Messenjah. Lazah began to creatively branch out by releasing 3 singles on his own record label (Lazer records “supermodel.” “message” and “world wide war zone”).

To date Lazah has released an album “Glorious Ride” plus various other singles, he is also equipped with no less than seven (7) videos.

Lazah has recently teamed up with Guerrilla Music Production and is about to release his Second Album. From his dread to his toes.

Lazah current presents an exciting blend of positive spirit housed within singable jammable music.
