Jr Flex - They called him undeniably talented, a master lyricist with great vocals and a charismatic performer.

His lyrics are thought provoking yet entertaining, a distinctive
voice in Dancehall.

Born Andy Morrison, as a child he always rhymed, words constantly flowed from
his mind, creating lyrics became second nature. He listened to gospel music but was
inspired by Papa San and Professor Nuts. At this point he knew he wanted to be a
Deejay. He would have his first exposure to dancehall by the age of 9 where he would deejay with local sound systems. His love affair with music had begun.

By 1989 he immigrated to Canada where he would become one of Toronto’s
leading Deejay’s. He earned this recognition from the dub plates he did for various sound systems in and around Toronto. His lyrics took on a life of it's own that could not be easily challenged. This path would lead him to recording. His first single “One a way” was released in 1995 written by JR Flex and produced by Danny Maestro for Bulletproof records. More singles were to follow including a collaborative with Chrome Nine titled “Action” for House of Wax. Junior Flex also shared the stage with such artists as Capelton, Professor Nuts and many others in Canada and Jamaica.

By 2000 he became more focused on song writing. He began working with other
artists on various projects including Albeeno. JR Flex continued to work behind the
scenes while pursuing other interests. However, he stayed connected with the dancehall community.

Currently, Junior Flex is working on his first album. His latest single “Fake
Friends” will be released on a mixed tape for Suspectz Production.
