Joel Chin of producer of VP Records family shot and killed

Reports from the Stony Hill Police are that about 10:45 p.m., Chin was exiting his motor vehicle at home when he was pounced upon by armed men. Residents heard explosions and summoned the police. On arrival of the lawmen, Joel Chin was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Chin who was 35-years old was the head of VP'S Ar (artiste & repertoire) department. He is also the grand son of VP founders Pat and Vincent Chin.

VP records boasts artistes such as Beres Hammond, Tarrus Riley and Etana among many others.

The music fraternity is currently mourning the death of Joel Chin.
