Iba MaHr was born on January 21, the artiste who's real name is Mario Greaves has emerged with a strong African culture, thus he was given the name by his friends.

His name is an African name Iba’ African name, meaning Humble and Calm while ‘MaHr’ is really an acronym, meaning Mario of Harar.

At age 19, he voiced his first song with CHARMAX MUSIC, chanting from Linstead, St. Catherine. Subsequently, he was able to sustain the many dangers and harm of his volatile community through the advocating of love, peace, righteousness and spiritual consciousness.

He is quite humble, and does not let anything or no one trouble his innate calm. His music ranges from reggae, lovers rock and soulful roots genre. The young sound, has worked with great producers and record labels such as, CHARMAX MUSIC, Max ‘Romeo’ Smith, XTERMINATOR PRODUCTIONS, Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell, O. Johnson, DANGER ZONE MUSIC and a host of other producers.

In 2008, CHARMAX MUSIC and the late Max ‘Romeo’ Smith released Iba MaHr’s first recognized song, “HAD IT & LOST IT”, on the various artiste album titled, “DEVIL ON DI RUN”. The track is now available on all popular music sites, such as iTunes and is also in major record stores. In relation to production, Iba MaHr is currently working on projects with XTERMINATOR PRODUCTIONS and promotions for such works are on the way.

With Rastafari as his inspiration, roots and culture is always what he promotes along with social commentary and soulful-reggae love songs that speaks out to the heart of ones and ones in love or out of love. Give heed to the voice, and what reggae music has to offer in the future.

On January, 2010 he released his first studio album call "The Time Is Now" it feature tracks such as "The Time is Now, Love Thy Neighbour, Had it and Lost it, Only Jah Alone and Where You
