Head Concussion Records Label

Rvssian of Head Concussion Records and Dancehall artiste Shenseea

Head Concussion Records Label is the brain child of producer Tarik 'Rvssian' Johnston.

Shortly after forming Head Concussion Label in December 2007, Rvssian wasted no time and went on to release a number of songs, working with notable dancehall acts like Demarco, Tarrus Riley, and Blak Ryno.

The music production company was first based in Kingston, Jamaica but Tarik later migrates to the USA along with his company. The label along with its founder became a household name in 2010 after releasing Vybz Kartel's monster hit single 'Life Sweet' on its imprint.  This was followed by dancehall rhythms such as "Go Go Club", "Remedy" and "Nuh Fear". These rhythms became hits with the "Go Go Club" rhythm introducing new artists like Merital Family to the musical scene.

Other chart topping singles on the Head Concussion Records Label  are "Straight Jeans and Fitted"(a collaboration with Vybz Kartel), "Pull Up To Mi Bumper"(featuring Konshens and J Capri) and "Passion Whine"(featuring Sean Paul and Puerto Rican artist Farruko) a single which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on 3 October 2014.

Head Concussion is the label behind the launching of J Capri, a new female dancehall artiste. Her chart topping hit single "Pull Up To Mi Bumper" a collaboration (featuring Konshens and J Capri), "Whine 'n' Kotch"(featuring J Capri and Charly Black) "Reverse It" and "Boom 'n" Bend Over" By J Capri, were all released on the Concussion Record label.

Other chart topping singles released on the imprint is Tarrus Riley's hit single "Good Girl, Gone Bad" which featured Konshens, Vybz Kartel's "Lyricist" and Chan Dizzy's "Nuh Strange Face."

Rvssian is one Dancehall and Reggae music most sought after producer presently.
