Phed X

Dancehall and reggae provided a foundation for Guyanese-born Churaman Sukhram. Raised in Berbice ,Guyana until the age of 10 when he later moved to the United States in 1991, he knew from his

childhood days that one day he’d make it big in the music industry.

His family and friends dubbed him with the name Phed X since they would always call on him to do various tasks. Phed X’s move to New
York proved to be a great exposure to the reggae scene for him. Inspired by world famous music selecta Stone Love and True Force International, along with Super Cat, Yellowman, Shabba Ranks , and the sweet sound of Beres Hammond , Phed X started to move with the flow and vibes of reggae in the late 1990’s.

With much encouragement, Phed X soon created a sound called Murda Love Movement which took everyone aback. Slowly Phed X paved his way up by playing at clubs, private parties, and reggae
concerts. With the knowledge, the energy, and the positive messages in the music, Phed X released his first hit single, Mo Gyal, produced at Ed Robinson’s E2 Studio for Award One Records which made the top 5 in Pennsylvania . Streaming the radio stations are his upbeat and energetic tracks “Party Started”, “Guyana/Cutlass”, and the ever blazing “Ganja Anthem.”

In 2011, Phed X caught the eyes and ears of Sony Music A&R representatives. Currently, Phed X is in a music contract with Sony for a single release.

With a promising future on the horizon, Phed X is currently in the studios working on his debut album which will feature a track dedicated to his homeland called “Welcome to Guyana.” This record is rising up the charts in Guyana, Miami, New York, and Atlanta.

Phed X is also working with Reggae singer/song writer Mr. Easy and will be among Beenie Man, Mr. Easy, Esco, and Spragga Benz just to name a few, on a new dancehall rhythm pending release call, “ Speak Out”. From classroom DJ at the street corner to sharing the stage with Ed Robinson, Nardo Ranks, Junior Demus, Sean Paul, Mr. Easy, and Junior Cat, just to name a few, Phed X is just starting to portray his true potential to the world.

Phed X’s music is available for fans to download on iTunes and Amazon.
