Grammy Awards for Reggae and Dancehall music

The Grammy Award is for "Best Reggae Album".

The first Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album was presented toBlack Uhuru back in 1985 for their album title "Anthem".

The 54th Awards is set for February 12, 2012 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Nominations will be announced on November 30, 2011.

Who will the nominees for Dancehall and Reggae music?.

Although most lovers of Jamaica's music consider it to be only reggae, The people of Jamaica said that there are two genre of music coming out of Jamaica, these are Dancehall and Reggae music.

Here are the other Winners of Grammy for best Reggae Album

Stephen Marley won in 2008, album "Mind Control" and 2010 for his album "Mind Control – Acoustic"

Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers won in 1989, album "Conscious Party"
1990 album "One Bright Day"
1998 album "Fallen Is Babylon"
2007 album "Love Is My Religion"

Beenie Man won in 2001, album "Art and Life"

Shabba Ranks won in 1992, Album "Raw As Ever" and in 1993 for his album "Xtra Naked

Steel Pulse won in 1987, album "Babylon The Bandit"

Peter Tosh won in 1988, album "No Nuclear War"

Bunny Wailer won in 1991, album "Time Will Tell: A Tribue to Bob Marley"
1995 album "Crucial Roots Classics"
1997 album "Hall of Fame: A Tribute to Bob Marley's 50th Anniversary"
2000 album "Calling Rastafari".
2009 album "Jah Is Real"

Inna Circle won in 1994, album "Bad Boys"

Shaggy won in 1996, album "Boombastic"

Buju Banton won in 2011, album "Before the Dawn"

Toots & the Maytals won in 2005, album "True Love"

Damian Marley won in 2002, album "Halfway Tree" and 2006 for his album "Welcome to Jamrock"

Sean Paul won 2004, album "Dutty Rock".

Lee "Scratch" Perry won in 2003, album "Jamaican E.T."

Sly and Robbie won in 1999, album "Friends".

Jimmy CliffWon in 1986 album Cliff Hanger
