Recording artist GQ Official Biography

GQ Rush was convinced at an early age to explore his music by the influence of many greats and legendary of reggae music.

Such as the iconic Bob Marley, Sanchez, Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaac just to name a few. His love for the music has inspired him to express his feelings and thoughts through composing his lyrics to his music.

GQ Rush first break started in the mid 90’s by performing with various bands as the lead singer all thru Jamaica east coast hotels. His shows consisted of weddings, birthdays and scheduled shows for many guest visiting Jamaica. This exposure allowed this young artist to become experience on stage and the development of his vocals.

In 20011 GQ Rush released his first single titled “It’s in the Morning” distributed by VP Records and followed by the debut video directed by a young videographer named Robin Anthony Chin. This single was received all thru Jamaica, USA, England, Netherlands, Canada, Australia and Africa.
Many radio DJ’s unfamiliar with this rising star were impressed with the quality of his music as well as his vocal. He has received support from many radio stations like Jamaica's top radio station Irie Fm, RJR as well as various FM and terrestrial stations.

After the success of his single release, GQ Rush performed alongside veterans of the reggae music like Barrington Levy, I-Octane, Cherine Anderson, Roberta Flack and Maxi Priest. GQ Rush was also featured with various artists at the Tribute to Bob Marley Festival in Wilmington, Delaware and The Caribbean Heritage Fest in Baltimore, Maryland. During the summer of 2010 GQ Rush was featured on CVM Sunrise as the Music Ambassador for Read Across Jamaica.

Fast forward, GQ Rush has been diligently working with Kheilstone Music. Under this production GQ Rush has released two singles, “My 4ever love” and “Candy Crush” that was debut by a video produced and directed by Kheilstone Music KSM. These new songs has captured the interest of many with a more modern touch but reaming consistent and true to the Lover’s Rock rhythm.

His dedication and hard work will continue to be seen on all his music yet to come.
