Everton Ennis, popularly known as Ennise was born in Negril, Westmoreland on March 30, 1983.

He later moved to a small rural community called Kendal, in the parish of Hanover. There, Ennise grew up and attended Green Island High School. He later went on to finish his high school years at Petersfield High School, located in the parish of Westmoreland.

He did not limit his educational growth to a mere secondary level, as he yearned for more from the academic sphere. As a result he attended the Caribbean Institute of Technology, where he achieved his Diploma in web Design and Software Development.

He began performing at a very tender age in Sunday school choir.

During that time he realized he had a passion for music and entertainment. He would always take the opportunity he got to leisurely perform for and with his school friends and colleagues, but also took his craft to the stage for the high school concerts as well. His passion for the arts, lead him to join the Green Island High School Performing Arts Group.

This group, of which he was an active member, won regional and national performance titles.

He performed at staff parties at hotels in Negril, for example; Beaches Sandy Bay and Couples, just to name a few. He entered talent shows at Pier I and Tropical Beach in Montego Bay, St. James, where he represented the company he worked for and he won them all.

He released his first single, April 28, 2012 entitled “Keeping Me Away,” this single was done in collaboration with Cashflow Records in Kingston, Jamaica.

He performs both Reggae and Dancehall music and therefore likes to refer to himself as a“Singjay.” He composes his songs and is most proud of how well people are receptive and appreciative of his song writing skills. He takes great pride when writing his songs so as to ensure that he stays true to the concept of the song’s theme. Ennise’s lyrics are always clean and well thought out. According to him; “I don’t just go with the first rhyme that comes to me.”

He is currently working hard so as to produce quality music that will keep people entertained and loving every lyric he writes.
