Digicel Rising Stars 2011 launches with sweeping changes

Season eight of the Digicel Rising Stars competition kicked off on Thursday May 12, 2011 on Television Jamaica.

The eigth staging of the popular talent Digicel Rising Stars will be having new format, new host and new judges.

The competition well say goodbye to Judges Anthony Miller, Nadine Sutherland and Clyde McKenzie who has being with the show for almost its eight (8) years.

The new host for the digicel 2011 is Miss Jamaica World 2005, Terri-Karelle Griffiths-Reid.

Replacing Anthony, Nadine and Clyde are Disc Jockey ZJ Bambino and Singer Tessanne Chin and its reported that there will be a surprise judge to be announced.

Over the last seven years, the competition has unearthed many stars including Christopher Martin, Laden, Noddy Virtue, Romain Virgo, One third, Dalton Harris, Brown Sugar, kahlil and Jodiann Pantry.
