Demarco wins IRAWMA Best Deejay award 2015

Dancehall recording artiste Demarco recently won the Best Deejay award at the 2015 IRAWMA Awards. The event is staged annually by Ephraim Martin to honour the work and achievements of reggae, dancehall, calypso, soca and world music artistes. It was held at the Bailey Concert Hall, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Demarco had a tremendous 2014, scoring several chart-topping singles including Puppy Tail, Loyal, Ride and the monster hit Good Book produced by ZJ Liquid on his 'Good Book' rhythm.

"2014 was a tremendously successful year for me. I had a lot of hits. I am very happy that the IRAWMA Awards have recognised the work I'm doing by honouring me with this award. I feel truly blessed and grateful for this achievement," said Demarco.

Demarco is heating up the local music scene with a number of popular songs including Who the Hell Cares, Lava, Case and Pop Mi Collar, which is dedicated to Gerald 'Bogle' Levy.

"The hits continue to flow, I'm making music that resonates with the streets and the people love it."

Demarco is also getting ready to drop his first release for his True Gift Entertainment imprint, a sizzling-hot new collab, Ghetto Youth Floss, featuring Beenie Man.

Demarco is booked to perform at the Port Royal Seafood Festival, Heroes Day, at the Caribbean Maritime Institute campus.
