Stephen McGregor the Genius in Dancehall and Reggae Music.

From birth he has been around music. The Big Ship recording studio is located in the family home. Before taking up the career as a Producer he was a singer.

He wrote his first song at the age of five (5) titled "School Done Rule". Its about the importance of staying in school.

By the age of Ten (10) he was able to play the piano, violin, drums, bass and guitar. Also being the son of reggae singer Freddie McGregor he was able to travel and perform all over the world.

He has performed in places such as the USA, Canada, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.

He is presently the driving force behind the Big Ship Family which consists of Freddie McGregor, Chino and Shema.

Since taking over the rudder in 2005 he has produce many top dancehall and reggae riddims. Riddims such as Cartoon, Redbull & Guiness, 12 Gauge, Ghetto Whiskey, Chiney K, Bee Hive, Winnings among many others.

Stephen has now in 2010 build over 500 riddims.

He is also responsible for the career of dancehall artiste Laden.

Other artiste who he has done work for are, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Tarus Riley, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Daville, Blak Ryno, Singing Sweet, Wayne Wonder, Bramma among many others.

Stephen has also started to perform as an artiste again. He has released hit such as "Cyan Fren Again", Careful feat Vybz Karetl and Can't Tek We Life feat Mavado.

He is has being given a lot of different names but he is mostly now called "Di Genius".
