Dancehall Reggae Artiste Pesty Official Biography

Pesty, with only two years in the music business, has already commanded a level of respect and awe among friends and followers from the community of Braeton, Phase 3, Portmore, St Catherine.

He has uploaded two singles on YouTube that have enhanced his popularity.

"Touch, a song I uploaded to YouTube, is getting some good reviews, it features Wazzi on the track.

Another song is getting a buzz in the United Kingdom. It is called Turn Around, on the 'Iron Sky' rhythm, for Music Slave Records and Stunna Entertainment Promotions.

The feedback for this song is good, my fans can find this song on YouTube and on SoundCloud."

Pesty, Patrick Alexander Brown, has music in his blood, being the son of artiste Rohan Irie. Rohan Irie migrated before he fully established his musical career, locally, and is pleased that his son has followed in his footsteps.

Pesty, motivated by his father, wants to take it a step further by bursting on the scene in a big way. "I'm currently looking for a manager, at this time, someone that can elevate my career to the next level," he said.

Established artistes such as Vybz Kartel, Aidonia and Mavado are some of the local artistes that Pesty admires.

Kartel, because of his lyrical abilities. Mavado, he has the melodies, and I rate Aidonia's hard-core style," he said.

Pesty's schooling started at Braeton Primary and Junior High, Kensington Primary and Greater Portmore High School.

Before he became a singjay, he did another art form. "I was a visual artist, and I was pretty good at it. I even passed the subject in CXC," Pesty recalled.

The singjay has no plan to sit and wait for his big break. He has already been to a number of studios and is working hard.

Pesty, now 23, sees his music achieving a lot locally and internationally with the help of his promotions label Stunna Entertainment Promotions,he has teamed up with various producers and has been doing alot of recordings lately. The soon to be released track titled "gyallist night out" for Mainpoint Beats and Stunna Entertainment which also features newcomer wazzi, is set to create a buzz on the dancehall/club scene. Pesty is certainly one to look out for in the new year to come.
