Dancehall reggae artiste Kurtisi
UK base dancehall reggae artiste Kurtisi is ready for the Jamaican market.
In a press released Kurtisi said "For years I have been recording my music in the UK and Jamaica, but I was mainly promoting my stuff in England. However, since I put out a song called Bloody War which talks about the incidents that took place in west Kingston, I have begun to concentrate on the local market. Reason for this change is the response that I got for Bloody War from people all over, especially in Jamaica and England."
The artiste/producer who was born in Kingston, Jamaica has been travelling between Jamaica and United Kingdom has been recording dancehall music since 2002.
His first single was Fussing and Fighting, this was done at Anchor Studio on the Bombshell riddim.
He said artiste such as Shabba Ranks, Super Cat, Bounty Killer and Capleton as his main influences in the dancehall arena.
Kurtisi is currently promoting two new tracks Darker Skin and Brixton, which was done in tribute to his hometown in England.
