Dancehall Queen Miss Vee

by DRW
(Jamaica)

Sharon Matorwa aka Miss Vee is a Dancehall Queen base in South Africa. She is originally from Cape Town.

Miss Vee started singing when she was six years old at St George's Primary School in Cape Town on the school choir.

She got her musical inspiration from dancehall reggae duo Brick and Lace as well as R&B star Rihanna.

Miss Vee who is now 20yrs old (2011) is studying for an accountancy degree at the University of Johannesburg.

She has worked with some of dancehall and reggae artists in her country and also artiste from Jamaica.

From South Africa she has worked with Zimbabwe Group Transit Crew, Uganda Artiste Dr Normans, X-tra Large, DJ Uphoria and Guspy Warrior.

In June 2011 she worked alongside one of dancehall music top performer "The Engery God" Elephant Man.

One could be forgiven for confusing her with the likes of Jamaican dancehall divas, Stacey, Lady Saw and Sacrifice singer Alaine Laughton, because of her well-polished stage performance.
