Dancehall artiste Teflon Inks Major U.S Distribution Deal

Within less than two months into the New Year, Rastafarian singer Teflon is making good on his promise for 2014 to become the most successful year of his career. The singer in January scored his third (3rd) number one with the hit single ‘Pedal’ on the CVM-TV’s Hit-List Reggae Chart and delivered a triad of exuberant performances at Rebel Salute, Twickenham Park Police Academy and the heavily publicized Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall aired live on Television Jamaica (TVJ).

As the culmination of February draws close, Yard A Love the artiste’s management company has wrapped talks with international business interest and will be unveiling a major announcement this week. Speaking with his team the revelation was made the singer has inked a two year major distribution deal with U.S based company New Millionaire Entertainment (NME) out of Delaware.

The deal will see New Millionaire Entertainment becoming the exclusive agent handling both digital and physical distribution for Teflon along with his marketing throughout the world for downloadable, mobile and video contents. The dissemination will be done in conjunction with Universal Records.

In a statement to the media NME Vice President - Dave Grant says, "We are very selective about who we decide to become distributors for. However finalizing this deal with Teflon and his Team was the right move. Teflon brings a very positive energy and message to his music and as such we look forward to delivering his positive vibe on an International level."

Adding their own perspective Teflon’s Management stated, “This just goes to show that hard work does pay off and with this partnership Teflon’s music will be shared on all major music platforms worldwide. This is another major step for the Reggae and Dancehall genre.”

New Millionaire Entertainment (NME) is the brainchild of three friends, all former employees of high profile record companies such as Warner Bros., Jive Records, Hitz Committee and Island Media Entertainment Group who decided to consolidate their efforts into the vision that is NME. In the past the group has worked with an assemblage of musical heavyweights such as Rick Ross, Young Money Cash Money, Freeway, Omillio Sparks, Trina, Tyga, Trey Songz, Jim Jones, Selah and Jamaican’s very own Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Maxi Priest among others.

Meanwhile, with the focus now on promoting his new video for the collaborative effort ‘Same Struggle’ featuring iconic Reggae crooner Capleton, the St. Mary native and his team are working assiduously on a new album and live concert series. The latter is set to unveil late March.
