Corry Dip Biography  “Straight to the top”

Before he became known to the world as Corry Dip, young Corry Jonas was just another youth with the dream of becoming one of dancehall’s finest. Born to parent Pansy Jonas, Corry Dip hails from Brooklyn New York.

Corry is his real name but The 'Dip' Came from my friends. During The Time When Bogle Use to Lock the Streets (rest In Peace to him); Corry was in Jamaica around the age of 16. He used to go to every party with him. Bogle had a dance called Willie Bounce That Was Taking Over, Corry Took what he learned back to New York which was new to that part of the world. So every time he did the wacky Dip his friends would always chant Dip Corry Dip.

Corry Dip is from a resolutely un-musical family; everything he says, comes from his passion and his desire to be successful in the business. He describes himself as an optimistic individual who is always up for the challenge. He is a prolific lyricist and songwriter, driven only by this desire, a desire that has been with him from as long as he’s known himself.

Music to Corry is a form of art and a means of connecting with the people. His music is not only about his experiences, but the experiences of others through his eyes, that’s why he describes his music as reality music but, even though his music is realistic it is motivating, inspirational and optimistic.

Music is something he always wanted to do; he just didn't know how to make a step at it. Until his God brother Marny aka Fame noticed I had a voice and insisted that I start singing, he was actually the first person to put me in a studio.

His role model is actually his mother, that's who he look up to, she grew him up by herself had to play both mommy and daddy role. He hustles hard to keep a roof over the families head by any means.

He is a SINGJAY. He boasts an unparallel chemistry that keeps people wanting to hear more. His infectious melodies & witty punch lines has become a proven formula that is seemingly catapulting the buzz in the streets, especially among the ladies.

He is a part of Mavado's Gully Side team, he has been traveling to a lot of states performing with the international singer and the feedback is always outstanding.

Much respect to Mavado for giving me the opportunity to show cases my talent in parts of the World. Corry have performed all over New York from, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Harlem, Staten Island, Upstate New York, Florida, Washington DC, California, and Virginia.

He have done songs like “Can U be”, “One more time “, “Feel It”, “My Queen”,” 100 Acre”, “My Mama cakes u” (produced by Louie V music) and many more.

Corry is actually working on a lot of new projects. He doesn’t like to say what he doing; he just like getting them done but 'Straight to the Top' is the main focus. When people hear this song it gives them hope, faith and a sense of awareness.

His philosophy is simply each one teach one reach one, because we are all humans having Riches doesn't make your life precious health and strength does. I love being a leader and everybody has their own way of living which is right, your life do what you want. He just wants the positivity and God's Blessings to keep Falling upon him.
