Clement Dodd Jnr Died February 5, 2015

Clement Dodd Jnr, son of legendary music producer Clement “Coxson” Dodd, died February 5 in New York City at age 56.


His younger brother, Courtney Dodd, said he succumbed to cancer. Dodd was hospitalised in 2014 and briefly recovered late last year.

Dodd was born in Kingston but moved to England as a child. He grew up in Birmingham but moved to New York City in 1981.

He launched his Basement and Coxson Jnr labels in the 1990s.
