CatEyes seeks musical breakthrough in Jamaica
US-based reggae singer CatEyes is gearing up for a musical breakthrough on local soil.
The talented singer who hails from Kansas City is currently enjoying much attention locally with her single, Me and My Weed.
The song was produced by Edgiton Farquharson of Madstorm Records and Saunjay Kerr of J'Island Records.
According to CatEyes, she is very happy with the response the single has been getting locally.
"I'm pleased with the response Me and My Weed has been getting. I'm very grateful to all the DJs who have been playing my songs. It feels really nice to know that the people in Jamaica and other parts of the world are feeling my music."
The artiste also stated that she and her management team plan to do a lot of work in Jamaica throughout 2013, as she intends to make a serious musical breakthrough on the local music scene.
"I want to make a very big impact with my music in Jamaica. right now, we are doing a lot of work to promote my music on the island, that market is very important to me," said the artiste.
CatEyes recently released the supporting music video for Me and My Weed. She is also promoting a number of other singles, including Feel So Right and Dreaming.
CatEyes is slated to perform alongside dancehall star Mavado at Wonderland Ballroom in Boston tonight.
