Brixton Music Group creating waves

Brixton Music Group, (BMG), is the brainchild of reggae legend Mad Cobra and producers Ratigan, JJ Wizzle and Tarique. Each has operated production companies, JRK Productions, JJWizzle Productions and Real Madd Entertainment, respectively.

Though releasing different projects, they often combine projects.

However, after the construction of their new recording studio in Braeton, they decided to incorporate operations under one umbrella.

Though they may be considered new, the quartet has garnered years of experience, producing and mixing songs for some of the biggest names in local and international music.

The list includes UK's grime legend Wiley, reggae crooner Gyptian, Anthony B, Chuck Fenda, I Wayne, I-Octane, Konshens, Sizzla, Yami bolo, Elephant Man, Mad Cobra, Vybz Kartel, Chris Martin, British rhythm and blues singer Kiesha White, among others.

Apart from being producers, they are also established recording and mixing engineers. They have done work on projects for entities such as football legend Florent Malouda's 9 Mile Records, Liv Up Records, Stone Love Music, Studio Vibes, Prodigal Entertainment, Subkonshus, Top Secret and Ghetto Network, among others.

In recent months, the group has received attention for projects such as the 'Anti-Shock' rhythm, which features the likes of Mega Banton, I Wayne, Mad Cobra, Munga and others, and the 'Vacation' rhythm which features tracks from Mad Cobra, Ishawnna, Ratigan and others. BMG is also responsible for release of the hard-hitting singles Di Baddest and Defend It by Mad Cobra.

Additional production credits include the worldwide Internet sensation, Jamaican Badman Style, by Mega Banton, G Loc and Singer J.

BMG is promoting its latest project, the 'Brixton Bounce' rhythm, distributed by Hapilos21, featuring songs from Mad Cobra, Konshens, Elephant Man, Munga, Voicemail, Raine Seville, Frisco Kid, G Loc, Nuklear, Flexx and others.

There is also the gritty street anthem, Just Bad, by Ratigan and Mad Cobra, which is being distributed by Hapilos21 Distribution.
