Grammy nominated producer and engineer Breadback says he believes in albums as they "lastmore".
THE STAR caught up with the top-flight producer, born Richard Bramwell, at the recently concludedStar Awards, where his mentor and long-time music partner Sizzla received the honorary Lifetime Achievement Award.
Breadback told THE STAR he has been toiling in studio, working on several albums, and has also recently released his latest juggling.
"Presently, I'm doing up some albums. Natty King, Teflon, Mr Murphy, UT Ras, Louie Culture, Delly Ranx, and, of course Sizzla, for whom I have a dancehall album and a one-drop album. I'm just waiting on the right time to drop it," he said. "I released an album in 2014 with Lutan Fyah called Get Rid of the Wicked and a complete a next one with him ... so mi always a work whether at judgement yard or my home-base studio. Otherwise than studio work, I do live shows with Sizzla as his engineer."
Both Breadback and Sizzla were in Trinidad last weekend for a live performance.
Last year, Sizzla received his first-ever Grammy nomination in the Best Reggae Album category for the Breadback-produced album, The Messiah.
Breadback released his latest dancehall rhythm in May, called I-95. "Mi just go ole school, bring back a ole school vibe," he said. The rhythm features Capleton, Sizzla, Delly Ranx, Mr Murphy, Teflon and Erup, among others.
He said, "Mi a get good response, not so much locally. it a pick up, but overseas it a gwan good."
Breadback is about to release a single with Natty King and Delly Ranx called Tun It On.
He is also known for rhythms such as The Grass Root, 10 Speed and 745, among others.
