Blasto To Release Debut EP On January 31, 2014


Malawi’s premier Reggae/Dancehall artist Blasto will release his debut EP dubbed STRONGER on January 31st, 2014 to give fans a taste of his highly anticipated album. The EP produced by his longtime producer BFB of Exclusive Studios, under L.A.X general links also features artists from Malawi and the Caribbean.


Blasto, who has been winning fans within Malawi and beyond, sees STRONGER as a reflection of his musical and spiritual development through Reggae. With STRONGER, Blasto focuses on issues that appeal to all classes, races and age groups. In songs like “Show love” which features Jamaican female conscious reggae artist Karamanti, Blasto urges people to show and spread more love at all times.

Blasto’s EP showcases the artist’s strong musical sense and cohesive sound, giving listeners a taste of what he is capable of and has in store for the future. Blasto is driven by a desire to create music that inspires and enlivens audiences while delivering potent messages. The EP is filled with catchy and meaningful songs.

A limited run of physical copies will be available in selected record stores around Malawi from 31st of January, with a digital release later in the year. See below recent releases from Blasto.
