Five Star recording artiste Baby Chris
Five Star recording artiste Baby Chris.
Chris was born in Cockburn Pen, Kingston, Jamaica. This is the same area where reggae legends such as Daddy U Roy, Josey Wales, Admiral Bailey and Super Cat. He currently performs three different genres of music, these are Dancehall, reggae and R&B.
From as early as age nine (9) he has been entertaining small audiences in his community. In 2000, he migrated to the UK to further his music career. There he met up with Lenky and Orthodox who were pursuing the same dream. They later formed a group called L.O.C. June 2005 they recorded their first hit single entitled "Ring Ding Ding" on Jet Star Record Label. He, however, returned to Jamaica to pursue a solo career, which has been his lifelong dream. While living in the UK, he would at times visit various studios and clubs, however, he felt he was losing his vibe as a reggae artiste and thought that he needed to revisit his homeland in order to regain his composure. Once he returned to Jamaica, he quickly got back in the mode of things and started working with producers such as Free Willy, with whom he did the single Ring Ding PT. 2, which quickly became popular in the dancehall. The upcoming artiste is confident that this time around he will get much further ahead as a solo artiste with the knowledge and experience gained working with LOC. With the hope of being a representative of reggae/dancehall music all over the world, and also getting his Jamaican family’s signature of approval. He looks forward to performing on major shows in the coming years.
