Ricky Blaze International Dancehall Reggae Artiste

Born Ricardo Johnson, he was given the name by Kim Lee who runs a management business. After being with her for a short stint he landed a job on a popular radio station in Brooklyn.

Realizing his true potential,he and Kim then started a company named "fire unit music group". Ding Dong a dancer/dj, Elephant-man and Ricky did the big hit single "Badman Farward".

His label is well recognized thus having artistes such as Beenie man ,Nina Sky, Gyptian and Merital Family performing under the name.

But even after all this in Jamaica most dancehall and reggae music lovers still did not know much about Blaze.

In 2007 the producer decided to put his vocals to the test, resulting in his big single "what a piece of things".

This was the big break for the song writer/producer now artiste, his songs were now playing on major radio stations in America, Tokyo and as far as Africa.

He has since release his latest single "just you and I" which is doing very well.

When asked by the (Jamaica Observer) what was he bringing to the music industry this was his response " I'm bring a fusion of genres, a different flavor, mixing of catchy hooks which are full of melodies.
